The birth of a new Nagra series:
Long before Nagra became a benchmark in high-end audio, the company developed recorders for sound engineers who required absolute reliability and uncompromising sound quality in the most demanding environments. However, from the very beginning, music lovers recognized their exceptional sonic qualities and used them for home listening.
In 1998, Nagra officially entered the world of high-end hi-fi equipment with the PL-P, its first product for home use: a battery-powered tube preamplifier with phono stage, equipped with the legendary Modulometer™ and rotary selector switch. It quickly became an icon.

The PREAMP II-S is the first model in the new Series II.
